Out of Order

New Life Posted by Picasa

I thought I'd have time to tell, 'bout how you came unto this earth

But getting diapers takes my day, instead of writing of your birth

It was a beautiful story, brought a tear to my cheek

I won't exagerate when I say, I haven't slept this week

More important than my blog, my precious little girl

I even like you when, after eating, you upon my shoulder do hurl

What to do about this blog?, into disrepair it goes

I'll be back one day soon, but till then I'll be counting your little toes

Just kidding, of course we should get them together. They can grugle, babble, and burp at each other...in a rational skeptical manner...of course!

  8. Mazel tov!

I know what's going on. This is all God's plan to cut down the activity of the skeptical bloggers by making them busy with new arrivals. I probably should look out for myself but I'm not even married!

Yes she is my first! I can barely describe the excitement...I can't wait for my parents and family to see her in person!

Yup I'll be out of the pardes for a while...If this is God's grand plan to get me to stop blogging I'll have to give him more credit than I have in the past, this is certainly more enjoyable than being smitten or turned to salt :-)

I'll post the lyrics to Eulogy for the blog (at least for now)... and Mazel Tov :)
    He had alot to say.
He had alot of nothing to say.
    Well miss him. (2x)
    Were gonna miss him (2x)

    So long.
    We wish you well.
You told us how you werent afraid to die.
    Well then, so long.
    Dont cry.
    Or feel too down.
    Not all martyrs see divinity.
    But at least you tried.

    Standing above the crowd,
He had a voice that was strong and loud.
    Well miss him. (2x)
    Ranting and pointing his finger
    At everything but his heart.
    Well miss him. (2x)
    Were gonna miss him (2x)

    No way to recall
What it was that you had said to me,
    Like I care at all.

    But it was so loud.
    You sure could yell.
You took a stand on every little thing
    And so loud.

    Standing above the crowd,
He had a voice so strong and loud and i
Swallowed his facade cuz Im so
    Eager to identify with
    Someone above the ground,
Someone who seemed to feel the same,
Someone prepared to lead the way, with
Someone who would die for me.

    Will you?
    Will you now?
    Would you die for me?
    Dont you fuckin lie.

Dont you step out of line. (3x)
    Dont you fuckin lie.

Youve claimed all this time that you would die for me.
Why then are you so surprised when you hear your own eulogy?

    You had alot to say.
You had alot of nothing to say.

    Come down.
    Get off your fuckin cross.
We need the fuckin space to nail the next fool martyr.

    To ascend you must die.
    You must be crucified
For your sins and your lies. [sic]
    Goodbye...

  19. Mazal Tov!

I recall the special time I spent with my first child, singing lullabies (albeit off key), lovingly rocking back and forth no matter how long or how late into the night. It was just me and #1 (sometimes with a #2).

Cherish every moment. Live in the moment and filter out the urgency of things that will be attended to later. I found this made the difficult task more than bearable, it made it priceless.

Peace, happiness, & health to you all. Ho, ho, ho...

    Dear Ben,

I hope its ok to post here, I don't know where else, just came across your blog and was hoping I could ask you questions. Just to be clear I'm not in anyway asking this of you or at you, but rather just looking for a clearer perspective, you have apparently given this philosophy/theology a lot more thought than I and are far more articulate.

All that being said my question is as follows. If one has comeplete faith in Hashem as G-d, and that every word of the Torah (for all intents & purposes) is 100% G-d's word,

would it then be illogical to veer even one iota from those words, the plan given over from the world's actual Creator?

Disclaimer, being new to this "J-Blogosphere" I have had a difficult time thinking of a name, it is quite possible that this moniker is already taken and if so, I am not that person.

  22. Hello sheini yodea lishol,

I think your moniker is safe, or at least I havn't run into any one else using it.

You ask a good question, but I will have to add you to the list of people that I need to formulate usefull answers for when time allows...stay posted.

The Bank said the total value of mortgage approvals stood at 22,043bn in February, the highest since last August.

    'No sharp fall'
"The essential stabilization in mortgage approvals and lending in February reinforces the impression that housing market activity could be past the worst after slowing markedly in the second half of 2004," said Howard Archer, analyst at Global Insight.

  27. Thanks Rebeljew !! In my defense I wrote that in the twelve seconds I had between sagging diapers, leaky bottles, and a well intended mother in law!!

Unfortunatley the only premade poetry I know is called "beans beans the magical fruit"...and didn't seem appropriate to the circumstances.

Hi Epa, thanks for chimming in.

Hey DNA, thanks, and Don't worry I won't stop philosophizing, I am sure there are many mystical and deep levels to baby care!!

Hi Ben, sorry to bother you, I was just wondering if you had an opportunity to respond to the questions I asked.

1)If one has comeplete faith in Hashem as G-d, and that every word of the Torah (for all intents & purposes) is 100% G-d's word,

would it then be illogical to veer even one iota from those words, the plan given over from the world's actual Creator?

    2) Is there anything in this world worth dying for?

It seems to me that in the 2nd question I might be asking something more related to a purpose-of-life type question, which may be beyond the scope of what you generally deal with . . .

    ReplyDelete
  32. OK syl, quick answer here...

First Question is an oxymoron, you cannot have complete faith and then be logical.

Logical people function via the principal of intellectual honesty. Which means you believe things to the degree to which they are supported by evidence. If something is well supported one belives it strongly. If something is poorly supported one has doubt. All beliefs are provisional and subject to further revison when more data arrises.

Complete faith is not logical, becuase faith is defined as belief in a precept without evidence. You cannot have complete faith and then pretend to make logical decisions...that ship of logic has already sailed.

    End of story.

    Two...

Yes there are many principles worth dying for !!

Religion is not one of them. But I think freedom of religion is !!!

Ben, thank you for answering my questions. I feel like I caught you at a bad time though. Again, I didn't mean anything, I was only asking honest questions, wherever my thought process was leading me, and I apologize if it came off as an attack

  34. Syl, you are new to the blogosphere, everyone is attacking everyone else :-)

No offense taken. You can dispense with the mild manners. Debate is expected !

I got married recently and one thing I'm not looking forward to is changing diapers.

Can you please tell me either A. that it's not really bad at all and in fact it's a wonderful thing to be able to take care of your little kinder or 2. a way to get out of it . . . always????

Thanks so much. Your guidance will be much appreciated.

There are players who prefer to work their way around a golf course. free prizes Nothing went right all last year. At the PGA Merchandise Show last month, TaylorMade showed two new products: the r7 SuperQuad, a driver with a 460-cubic-centimeter head and four movable weights, and the Burner, another 460cc driver that's shaped like a bullet and has no movable weights. I just want to stay healthy and keep concentrating on golf.
